66th Annual Golden Globes- Arrivals

The 2009 Golden Globes went down on Sunday, and of course it was less about who will win what and more of who wore what. So shall we?

Ms. Bey Sting looked fabulous as all hell in an Elie Saab Haute Couture gown and finished off her look with her favorite jeweler Lorraine Schwartz. HIT… right out the park

Blake Lively left question marks in my head with this Nina Ricci number. I thought the dress was ill fitted (Blake has an amazing body!), and the large sequin detailing in the dress made the Fred Leighton jewels over whelming. MISS

Jennifer Lopez rocked a draped Marchesa dress, which was one of the only Marchesa dresses on the red carpet being that she took all of them and only allowed Miley Cyrus to wear one. This dress is very reminiscent of that much talked about green Versace dress she wore to the Grammy’s several years back, only this time she’s married with twins and a lot more curvier. Loves it! HIT

Eva Mendes rocked a statement making Dior dress and a turquoise Van Cleef & Arpels necklace to add a pop of color, and finished off the look with a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch. HIT

For more red carpet looks….

Miley Cyrus rocked a Marchesa dress, the only other person J. Lo allowed to wear Marchesa to the ceremony. Good look for Miley. HIT

Eva Longoria-Parker wore a beautiful red Reem Acra gown, Sergio Rossi shoes and a Samuel Swarovski clutch. As for the jewels, Verdura earrings and H. Stern bracelets. Love the bold simplicity of the look. Mrs. Parker always seem to pull it off. HIT

Hayden Panettiere wore a bust squeezing Gianfranco Ferre gown with YSL shoes, a Ferragamo clutch and Fred Leighton jewels. Love the dress and the hair, but I’m not exactly loving how the gown hangs on her athletic frame. You know I’m all about the fit (and appropriateness), but it’s still a HIT for me.

Meagan Fox, who revealed on the red carpet how insecure she is (surprise, surprise… smdh), wore a hand beaded gold silk tulle Ralph Lauren dress. Love the dress and fit of it, she has a great body, however this look is too toned down for the Golden Globes. But then again, she is just attending. Not presenting, not nominated. HIT

Kate Winslet (who took home two awards, for Revolutionary Road & The Reader) rocked a classic black look by Yves Saint Laurent. Love the look, but I think she should have went harder. Especially being that she was nominated…. twice. Overall, its a HIT.

Sandra Bullock wore a HIT or MISS Christian Dior gown with ruffle detail. I wouldn’t normally be a fan of fishtail/ruffles, but she made it work. Love how she accessorized too. HIT

Anne Hathaway wore an Armani Prive dress embroidered with Swarovski crystals and Van Cleef & Arpels jewels. The deep blue worked well against her porcelain skin and the embroidery was a good substitute for a bare neck. HIT

America Ferrera played with vintage, per usual, wearing an Oscar de la Renta asymmetrical taupe dress, Jimmy Choo “Clue” sandals and 19th Century Fred Leighton jewels. HIT

Taraji P. Henson wore a questionable J. Mendel dress and apparently got a wash and set at the Dominican spot the day of. SMH, I expected so much from you Taraji. MISS

Drew Barrymore looked a holly-hot mess in John Galliano for Dior. She chose to pair a powder blue gown with a red Roger Vivier clutch. Not good. She even made Lorriane Schwartz look bad, not an easy thing to do. MISS

*waving* Hey Brad.
Angelina Jolie looked like a sexy great grandma in Versace. Damn, I guess when you’re one of the most famous couples in Hollywood you no longer have to put much effort into your appearance. Not even a good blow out? MISS

Cameron Diaz showed up wearing Chanel from head-to-toe. Not loving the look one bit, and can you say touch up? Only a hood chic with a Louis wallet with $10 in it can walk around with out her roots dyed. How much do you make per movie? Or was that apart of the “look”. Try again. MISS

Vanessa Hudgens, in Alberta Ferretti and what appears to be a Forever 21 necklace, brought along her boobie cakes. Love the dress, and the fit. However, I would have loved to see a low, loose chignon bun, not that disheveled mess on top of her head. I know when you’re young and don’t know no better, you try to mix high-end designer pieces with cheaper pieces, but that’s only okay for a trip to Starbucks. This is the Golden Globes. You’ve done better Vanessa. MISS

Miss Golden Globe, Rumer Willis, looked amazing with her new red hair and Reem Acra gown. Love how the colors play in to each other. Looking good there! HIT

Hot mommy Demi Moore brought along her husband Ashton Kutcher, and they got playful on the carpet. Loving the Dior dress and Cartier jewels. These 20 something’s could learn a thing or two from the Demi’s and Halle’s of the world. HIT

Another hot mommy, Heidi Klum, with her hubby Seal, looked funky but chic (as usual) in a James Galanos pouf dress. Love how she ditched the usual floor length gown for something more fun and funky, but still not inappropriate for the Golden Globes. Leave it to Heidi to make us love it! HIT

Looking a piping hot mess, Renee Zellweger wore an organza blouse and silk skirt by Carolina Herrera, Christian Louboutin shoes and Verdura Maltese cuffs. MISS, MISS, MISS!

Maggie Gyllenhaal wore a leopard print Lanvin dress, and she pulled it off, missing the MISS train by 2 seconds. HIT

I will have more Golden Globe’s coming your way. Including Best & Worst Dressed, What They Should’ve Wore & Red Carpet Trends. Stay tuned!
