Performance Styles

The red carpet was not the only place that fashion was because once inside, the stage was the premiere place for who wore what.

Ciara wore short shorts and Jordans while she performed “Stepped On My J’z” with Nelly and Jermaine Dupri

When she came out for the surprise dance performance with Chris Brownfor “Take U Down” she wore this string-y thing-a-majig… Love it though!

Keyshia Cole wore a beautiful dress that I fell in love with at first sight while performing “Heaven Sent”. The dress looks a lot like the dresses she wore in the actual video. She then did a quick switch on stage by snatching off the bottom to perform “Let It Go” with Lil Kim

Loved this look as well. She had on high waisted shorts and (low) thigh high boots underneath the dress. Work it out then Keyshia.

Lil Kim has a nice body to say the least. Always loved her body. Love the metallic jeans but I’m not sure I’m feeling the whole let the belt (by D&G) just chill on the jeans. HATE THAT! Make-up was a mess as usual, but like I said I love her body.

Rihanna wore a see through dress when she hit the stage for the first time to perform her current #1 single “Take A Bow”

The fabulous Alicia Keys (and one of my favorite singers) hit the stage and brought out En Vouge, SWV and TLC. I was waiting for Destiny’s Child to come out for a reunion in the name of girl groups but it didn’t happen. While the performance wasn’t my favorite, it will definitely be remembered.

Jill Scott looked fabulous in this yellow number. Usually she wears the wrong things that does not even put out effort to do her body justice, but she got it right tonight. Also congrats to Jill on her engagement. Love to see another black woman happy.

And while Ashanti didn’t hit the stage, she did a quick change into a Marchesa gown to present an award with LL Cool J and to also introduce Nelly’s performance later on in the show.

Lauren London also hit the stage, but to present the Best Female R&B Artist (which Alicia won) along with the ever dapper Diddy

Queen Latifah also presented an award and look fab while doing so. Thic chic never fails when it comes to bringing the Fab Factor. Love the dress, love the hair, love the make-up, love the accessories. Work it out then Queen.
